Zach Solo

Zach Geditz

I grew up south of Ipswich, SD on the Geditz Family Farm. All through my childhood I loved going outside, hunting, fishing, playing cards, games, sports, etc. My parents are Rhonda & Tony Geditz who have been married for 20 years. I love working hard for the things that I may have and learning new skills and trades along the way.

Macie Solo

Macie Luce

I grew up outside of Wolsey, SD along with my family of 5. My parents are Jeff and Tammy Luce who have been married for 27 years. I enjoy spending time with my family, being active, volunteering with my church and surrounding areas, along with counseling at various bible camps! I hope to become a teacher one day and possibly lead a school as well!

Our Love Story

God Brought Us Together Knowing We Were Meant For Each Other!

We Met

Funny enough, Zach & Macie met through mutual friends on Super Bowl Sunday.  Prior to this, they had been talking about going to prom together their senior year.  They figured they should probably see each other beforehand to know what they were getting into!

That Sunday was pretty hectic to say the least.  There isn’t much to do in the middle of winter in Aberdeen, SD, so Zach suggested what most people would do – go to the Runnings store!   After walking around the best place on earth (per Zach) for about 15 minutes Macie said, “we have to get out of here”!  Long story short, Zach & Macie may not have met in the most likely of places, but they sure made the most of it!

We Fell In Love

Zach fell in love right away! Even while just talking he couldn’t believe there was someone who would actually put up with him in the world!  Macie, on the other hand, was a bit more cautious.

After talking about three days, Zach tried his hand at saying “I love you” which turned out about as well as one would expect – he was immediately shot down!  However, Macie eventually came around and after about a month and half of getting to know one another they both said “I love you” to each other for the first time and the rest, as they say, is history!

He Proposed

Zach wanted to make sure the proposal was after Sunday church service given there wasn’t much going on those days and also because they both cherished that time together with their Lord and Savior.

The proposal occurred at an abandoned farm just west of the Geditz Family Farm. Zach wanted to be sure to capture the moment, so he hired a local photographer. The last piece of planning was to ensure Macie’s sister Tatum and her boyfriend were both there. Tatum helped a ton with the planning to figure out how to fit everything in and helped to pick out just the right ring for Macie. She became somewhat of a third sister during that time and Zach wanted to be sure she was involved in their life!
